IN THE BLUE DESERT

IN THE BLUE DESERT, FAR FROM THE DOME CITIES, COLONIAL MARSHALS KEEP THE PEACE. They're the law even now, 200 years after Mars was (barely) terraformed and Earth suddenly went dark. One year ago, Martian ruins were discovered far under the deep desert, and now you have a gold rush on your hands...

24XX COMPATIBLE

Though technically in the same universe as 24XX-D Aftertime, this game uses dice more in the manner of other 24XX games. The cutoff from Earth made things scarce, but Mars was more prepared for disaster. Mars (barely) maintains the rule of law still, as well as harboring somewhat-abundant resources. On the other hand, it also harbors hidden surprises, from alien ruins to folk still harboring illegal Demon-class technologies.

If you wanted, however, it wouldn't be that hard to use the diceless system of 24XX-D Aftertime for 24XX Blue Mars, or use the system of 24XX Blue Mars for 24XX-D Aftertime. In addition, it should be easy to import all sorts of weirdness from other 24XX games to represent how wild things have gotten on Mars in the last 200 years since the terraforming. Perhaps Mars secretly harbors jartowns like those found in 20X4 Madstones....
