Wait Four Minutes in Silence
A downloadable SF TTRPG scenario
Every attempt at communication with the Atzerritarra has led to violence.
Until now. After years of brutal warfare across known space, the Atzerritarra have broadcast a single message, over and over.
A set of coordinates, and a sentence in 50 different Earth languages:
Wait Four Minutes in Silence.
What Is This?
This is a simple, system-agnostic science fiction one-shot tabletop role-playing game scenario. It's designed to be played with a single game moderator (GM) and anywhere from two to six players, though the scenario could probably support more.

This scenario is a sort of adaptation of 4′33″ by John Cage. The art is by BEEPLE, licensed under CC BY 4.0

Perfectly captures the quiet, contemplative nature of the original piece. And if this doesn’t teach rowdy players how to quiet down and listen, I don’t know what will. 10/10.
Also: the inclusion of a plaintext version is convenient.
Thank you! I forget who I first saw including plaintext like that, but I've tried to remember to do it ever since.
What do I hear when no one is talking? My tinnitus.
I suffer from tinnitus as well. That's a valid thing to hear in that situation.
Inventive recomposition of the Cage piece! It captured the spirit of it perfectly and smoothly translated it into a gaming situation. 5 stars
Thank you! I really enjoyed putting the science fiction wrapper around it.
