Faux Devil
A downloadable card
Though designed mainly for a game set in a version of the modern world, this system-agnostic cryptid can be used in any tabletop role-playing game system.
You don't even have to download the PDF or the text file. The full text is in the images and below. The text is designed to be MOSAIC Strict.
The PDF is designed to be printed on both sides of a bridge-size playing card.
The images of the Faux Devil are from the public domain. The text was written by me and can be used under a CC-BY-4.0 license. That is, be sure you credit me (Kirt Dankmyer). No fascists or bigots.
Faux Devil: The Details
A MOSAIC Strict Creature
This cryptid was originally found in the woods of Western Europe. While humanoid, it is merely an animal, albeit one that is happy to accept meat from “worshipers” and make occult-sounding nonsense sounds. Its fans have imported it to the New World, where it has thrived in the deep wildernesses.
This creature appears as a furry horned humanoid. Younger specimens have vestigial wings, which eventually fall off. Faux Devils are three times as strong as the average man, extremely resistant to disease, and able to take twice the punishment of any human before dying.
In contrast, they have an intelligence and social sense on par with a domestic dog, and enjoy making language-like sounds. They are omnivorous but prefer meat, and come to anger slowly.

That's a pretty cool concept! Cryptid under cover: that's great!!
I may will worship them to
I love this creature design! I am not sure if is intentional, but you have made a MOSAIC designed creature.
MOSAIC stands for:
Modular - Optional - Short - Attested - Independent -Coreless
You can find more about MOSAIC here, not my creation but its an interesting method of making modular game supplements.
I've been meaning to make a MOSAIC strict thing or two for a while now. I don't think it's currently MOSAIC strict because it's not Attested... I haven't said it's MOSAIC strict in the game text.
But you're right, it does otherwise qualify. I should see if I can find someplace on the card to do the "Attesting".
Okay, now it's MOSAIC strict.
Wow, I was not expecting this update! Such a cool addition to the MOSAIC format!
Definitely looking forward to seeing more TTRPG designs from you.
